EXPANDING REQUIREMENT FOR DIAPER CHANGING ACCOMMODATIONS

In the effort to provide both men and women with access to safe, sanitary, and convenient spaces to change their babies diaper, requirements for public locations are rapidly expanding across the nation. Regulations state that venues must be equipped with at least one changing station, deck, table or similar amenity on each floor with a public restroom.

The BABIES Act, effective October 7th, 2017, requires restrooms in public buildings to be equipped with baby changing facilities that the General Services Administration (GSA) determines are physically safe, sanitary, and appropriate.
