SloanTec® Hydrophobic Glaze

SloanTec is a unique and proprietary glaze that imparts permanent hydrophobic (water-repellent) and oleophobic (oil-repellent) properties to vitreous china. This permanent glaze lowers the surface energy of vitreous china, which can be measured by calculating the contact angle of a droplet of water. SloanTec Glaze produces the greatest contact angle of any ceramic fixture available, and that low surface energy reduces the ability of liquid and solid waste to adhere.
